After gracing the underground Wellington music scene with her debut single ‘Receipts’, Edera has created an enigma of atmospheric dream pop for her audience to crack. In her upcoming debut EP ‘Undo You’, which has dropped on all streaming platforms today. She has produced a body of work that is unique in its soundscape and lyrical journeys.

Combining the manipulation of found sound and swooping vocal harmonies, Edera forms a simultaneously haunting and naturalistic soundtrack that is somewhat evasive in its narrative. The four track EP documents her artistic individual evolution and is a conduit connection between her and her audience. The true beauty of the release resides in its ambiguity as it forces the listener to read between the lines, allowing for different perceptions and preserving the EP as a subjective art form in the mind of the listener.

Edera is the solo project of Leona Bradfield, a singer-songwriter based in Wellington. Bradfield is the founding member of Wellington indie rock outfit Siblings and was also a solo artist under her own name. After previously diving into the realm of solo material and having experience playing with bands, Bradfield is ready to dive headfirst into her new project, exploring sounds and emotions that have previously remained as uncharted territory for her. Influenced by the song-writing of Clairo, the vocal manipulations of FKA Twigs, and the bedroom pop scene in general, Edera has taken these influences and crafted her own unique sound. This along with her endeavours prior to the creation of Edera are what have fostered the works of her latest output and consequently remain the cornerstone of her artistry, culminating in her new EP ‘Undo You’.
