From East Auckland, JARNA (aka. Jarna Parsons) releases her new single “If Only You Knew”, produced by EDY, is another track that showcases her soulful voice. This song also leads up to the release of JARNA’s second mixtape, scheduled to drop in November this year titled “memoirs for the brokenhearted pt.2”, made especially for those who enjoy deep R&B sounds and will also further push the heartstrings of listeners going through the struggles of heartbreak.
We asked her a few questions about the track, her goals, highlights and motivation below:
Can you describe the track in a few sentences?
‘If Only You Knew’ is a modern R&B/Pop track that shares a story about two people who are on two different wavelengths, who come together in the end after the other person finally admits their feelings. With the track having a simple beat it really helps the audience to understand the lyrics instead of just hearing the words.
What inspires and motivates you the most?
My passion for music definitely motivates me! And also seeing all these other amazing creatives and musicians pushing out their own content and fire tracks!
What has been the career highlight for you so far?
The highlight of my career so far honestly is just being able to be creative with so many different minds and souls in all kinds of genres! It’s really made me grow as an artist.
Future plans and goals for JARNA?
My future plans and goals would be to travel and get to work with so many different artists/producers and also have my own tour!
